Jonathan A. Brassington
Executive Vice President & DCX Business Line Leader, Capgemini, Inc.
Jonathan Brassington leads Capgemini’s Digital Customer Experience (DCX) business in North America, focusing on DCX transformation for Global 1000 clients. Jonathan was elected to our Board of Directors in 2022 as an independent director. He is also a member of the Board’s committees for Audit, Compensation, and Nominating and Governance.
Jonathan has deep expertise in the use of digital technologies to transform the wealth management sector gained from his experience providing strategic advisory and technology transformation services to many asset and wealth management firms, including five of the seven largest global asset managers. He has also advised venture and private equity firms on new and existing fintech investments, giving him insight into the opportunities and challenges faced by SEI’s investment and wealth management business.
From March 2018 until December 2019, he led Capgemini Invent in North America, the management consulting division of Capgemini, Inc. Prior to Capgemini, Mr. Brassington was the CEO, Partner, and Co-founder of LiquidHub, a digital transformation company focused on re-imagining customer engagement. Jonathan is a member of the Board of Overseers at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. He also serves on the board and Executive Committee of Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technology and on the Board of Trustees at Misericordia University.
William M. Doran
Consultant, Retired Partner, Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP
Bill Doran is a consultant and a retired partner in the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, which provides legal services to SEI, our subsidiaries, and our mutual funds.
As a partner from 1976 to 2003, Bill served as SEI’s outside legal counsel. He has served on our Board of Directors since 1985, and brings extensive legal expertise and experience with SEI and its subsidiaries. He is chair of the Legal and Regulatory Oversight Committee.
Bill serves as a director on the boards for multiple subsidiaries of SEI, including SEI Investments Distribution Co., SEI Investments (Asia) Limited, SEI Investments (Europe) Ltd., SEI Global Nominee Ltd., SEI Investments Global Fund Services Limited, SEI Investments Global, Limited, and SEI Alpha Strategy Portfolios, L.P.
In addition, he serves as a trustee for the SEI Tax Exempt Trust, SEI Daily Income Trust, SEI Institutional Managed Trust, SEI Institutional International Trust, SEI Asset Allocation Trust, SEI Institutional Investments Trust, SEI Catholic Values Trust, New Covenant Funds, Adviser Managed Trust, The Advisors’ Inner Circle Fund III, Gallery Trust, Schroder Series Trust, and Schroder Global Series Trust. These are investment companies for which our subsidiaries may act as advisor, administrator, and/or distributor.
Carl A. Guarino
Chief Executive Officer of WizeHive, Inc.
Carl Guarino is CEO of WizeHive, Inc., a Software-as-a-Service company that provides a platform for managing grants, scholarships, fellowships and other application-based processes.
Carl has served on our Board of Directors since 2014. He is an independent director, chair of the Board’s Compensation Committee, chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee, and a member of the Audit Committee. Carl brings to the Board his familiarity with SEI combined with his extensive knowledge and experience in information technology innovation and outsourcing.
From 2006 to 2014, he was CEO of Procurian Inc., a provider of procurement outsourcing services to Fortune 1000 firms. Prior to 2006, Carl was Executive Vice President and head of SEI’s Investment Advisors segment.
Ryan P. Hicke
Chief Executive Officer, SEI
Ryan Hicke is Chief Executive Officer for SEI, responsible for the global business strategy and execution for the company across our three pillars of expertise: technology, operations, and asset management. He also serves on our Board of Directors.
Ryan’s 25-year career at SEI includes 11 years in asset management and 13 years in technology across various parts of our business, with his tenure evenly split between U.S. and global experience. Prior to being named CEO, Ryan was Chief Information Officer overseeing the information technology strategy and investment operations for the company. Ryan also previously served as head of our Technology Unit, as well as a Managing Director in our U.K. wealth management business.
Ryan holds a degree in finance from Saint Joseph’s University.
Kathryn M. McCarthy
Independent Consultant and Financial Advisor
Kathryn McCarthy is an independent consultant and financial advisor to families and family offices globally. She has served on our Board of Directors since 1998.
She is the Board’s Lead Independent Director, and a member of the Audit, Compensation, and Nominating and Governance Committees. With extensive wealth management experience, Kathryn provides insights into many of the markets served by SEI.
Kathryn is also a director and a member of the Audit Committee for the Rockefeller Trust Company, NA and serves on several family office boards, as well as investment committees and private trust company boards. Other experience includes roles as a Managing Director at Rockefeller & Co., Inc. from 2000 to 2003; President of Marujupu, LLC, a New York-based family office, from 1996 to 1999; and Senior Financial Counselor and portfolio manager with Rockefeller & Co., Inc., a family office and investment manager, from 1992 to 1996.
Stephanie D. Miller
Chief Executive Officer, Hazeltree
Stephanie D. Miller is Chief Executive Officer at Hazeltree, a leading provider of treasury and liquidity management solutions for the asset management industry.
With more than 25 years’ experience across financial services, she has a unique combination of experience in traditional financial markets, digital assets, and emerging markets.
Prior to Hazeltree, she served as Chief Administrative Officer at Gilded, a Miami-based gold trading fintech. She previously was CEO at Intertrust Group, a public Dutch Euronext company, where she led the digital transformation of the client experience and development of a robust organic and inorganic growth strategy. She also held executive roles at SS&C Technologies, JP Morgan, and Citco Fund Services.
Stephanie has been widely recognized as a leader in the financial services industry. She is also a director on Hazeltree’s board and previously served as an advisor to Lukka, Inc., a fintech start-up focused on accounting, fair market approach pricing, and financial reporting for digital assets. She holds a bachelor’s in accounting and information systems from CUNY Queens College.
Carmen V. Romeo
Private Investor
Carmen Romeo has served on our Board of Directors since 1979.
He is an independent director and serves as the chair of the Board’s Audit Committee. He is also a member of the Board’s committees for Nominating and Governance, and Legal and Regulatory Oversight.
Carmen was an Executive Vice President at SEI from 1985 to 1996 and served as our Chief Financial Officer from 1979 to 1996. He retired from SEI in 2004. Prior to joining SEI, Carmen was a certified public accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. With extensive leadership and financial management experience at SEI, Carmen is intimately familiar with our company, culture, and businesses.
Alfred P. West, Jr.
Executive Chairman
Alfred P. West, Jr. is Executive Chairman of SEI. Al founded SEI in 1968 and led our company as CEO for more than 50 years.
He has provided the strategic vision, industry expertise, and unwavering commitment to our values, guiding SEI’s growth and success from a fintech start-up to a global provider of technology and investment solutions that connect the financial services industry.
Al also serves as Chairman of the Washington-based American Business Conference; a member of the Georgia Tech Foundation; and Chairman of the Board of WestBridge, a private nonprofit organization supporting the recovery of those with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders.
