Chief Executive Officer, SEI

Ryan Hicke is Chief Executive Officer for SEI, responsible for the global business strategy and execution for the company across our three pillars of expertise: technology, operations, and asset management. He also serves on our Board of Directors.

Ryan’s 25-year career at SEI includes 11 years in asset management and 13 years in technology across various parts of our business, with his tenure evenly split between U.S. and global experience. Prior to being named CEO, Ryan was Chief Information Officer overseeing the information technology strategy and investment operations for the company. Ryan also previously served as head of our Technology Unit, as well as a Managing Director in our U.K. wealth management business.

Ryan holds a degree in finance from Saint Joseph’s University.

Jay J. Cipriano

Executive Vice President, Head of SEI’s Institutional business

Jay Cipriano is Head of SEI’s Institutional business and an Executive Vice President of SEI, overseeing all investment products and services provided to our institutional clients.

Jay previously served as Senior Vice President and Head of SEI’s Alternatives business, serving our U.S.-based alternative investment manager clients within the Investment Managers business. Under his leadership, our Investment Managers business expanded its alternative investment solution offerings across the back, middle, and front office, servicing some of the world’s largest investment managers.

During more than 25 years at SEI, Jay has worked in business management, solutions, operations, relationship management, and sales across our Private Banking and Investment Managers businesses. Prior to joining SEI, he worked in the audit and consulting arms of Arthur Andersen LLP in Philadelphia, PA.

Jay holds a master’s degree in the management of technology from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and School of Engineering, as well as a B.A. in accounting from Franklin and Marshall College.

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Sean Denham is an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for leading finance and accounting, corporate controllership, internal audit, business management, enterprise risk management, and investor relations functions, as well as administering the internal audit function.

Prior to joining SEI, Sean spent 20 years at Grant Thornton, serving in various leadership roles. He most recently served as regional managing partner for the Atlantic Coast, National Audit growth leader, and the national Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) leader. As an Audit partner of the firm, he served some of Grant Thornton’s most prominent clients, including public and private companies in the professional services industries. Sean began his career focused on audit and mergers and acquisitions at Ernst & Young and Amper, Politziner & Mattia.

Sean formerly served on the CEO Council for Growth, an initiative of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce dedicated to enhancing economic growth and prosperity. He is also heavily involved in the civic community and served as a board member and treasurer for the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT), as well as a cabinet member of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lehigh University.

Executive Vice President, Head of SEI's Family Office Services and SEI Regulatory Services

Sandy Ewing is an Executive Vice President of SEI and Head of SEI Family Office Services and SEI Regulatory Services, where she is responsible for working with SEI’s business segment leaders to advance business opportunities and execute growth strategies in existing and new markets.

Sandy brings more than 40 years of financial services experience, spanning the wealth management, trust, custody, and securities servicing industries.

She previously served as Head of TRUST 3000® for SEI’s Private Banking business, responsible for developing and executing the group’s strategic direction, including business development, relationship management, service delivery, and project and solution management. Sandy is also a board member of SEI Private Trust Company. Prior to joining our company in 1995, she built her career through management positions at two large regional banks.

Sandy has held a number of leadership positions during her tenure our company. She is an advisor to the SEI Women’s Network and SEI Diversity and Inclusion, and her impact is felt broadly, as she often leads panel discussions and leadership sessions, while passionately serving as a mentor, ally, and advocate for employees across the company globally.

Sandy is an executive board member and treasurer for New Leash on Life USA and a board trustee for the Eluna Network.

Executive Vice President, Head of SEI’s Advisor business

Paul Klauder is Head of SEI’s Advisor business and an Executive Vice President of SEI, responsible for the business and growth strategies across our North American intermediary markets.

A 30-year SEI veteran, Paul most recently served as Head of our Institutional business, overseeing all investment products and services provided to our global institutional clients. Prior to that role, he was Vice President and Managing Director in the Institutional Group, responsible for new business development within the institutional investment marketplace. Paul was instrumental in the growth of what was a new business at SEI into one of the largest providers of investment outsourcing in the world.*

Prior to joining SEI, Paul worked at Arthur Andersen and Company as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), specializing in financial service audits and employee benefit plan reviews and consultations.

Paul earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and computer science from DeSales University. He is a CPA and maintains his FINRA Series 7; 24; 63; and 65 licenses.

Executive Vice President, Head of Asset Management

Michael Lane is Head of Asset Management and an Executive Vice President at SEI, responsible for the business and growth strategy for our Advisor and Institutional businesses in North America, as well as leading SEI’s investment management teams globally.

With 35 years of experience, Michael previously served as Chair of U.S. Wealth at BlackRock after he was head of iShares for U.S. Wealth Advisory. Prior to joining Blackrock, he held a number of leadership roles at Dimensional Fund Advisors, leading the development of the retirement, broker-dealer, bank, and TAMP businesses. These roles included Global Head of Strategic Retirement Initiatives and CEO of Dimensional SmartNest LLC, which provides managed account solutions for defined contribution plans. Michael also served as a leader at TIAA-CREF, AEGON Financial Services Group, and Dreyfus, among others.

He is an accomplished author of three books, as well as academic and industry articles. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Binghamton University in New York, where he serves as an Executive Committee member for the Binghamton University Foundation Board and received the Medal of Distinguished Service. Michael also co-led the development of a not-for-profit initiative focusing on bringing diverse talent to the financial services industry.

Executive Vice President, Head of SEI's Investment Manager Services

Phil McCabe is Executive Vice President and Global Head of SEI’s Investment Managers’ business. He is responsible for leading the global business strategy across operations, technology, sales, and service.

Phil joined SEI in 1989 and has held senior leadership roles in SEI’s Investment Managers’ business, SEI’s Private Banking and Wealth Management business, the SEI Private Trust Company, and SEI Trust Company. Most recently, Phil served as Global Head of Operations for SEI’s Investment Managers business.

With SEI for more than 35 years, Phil has extensive expertise in new business development, client relationship management, global operations, and solution and product development. During his tenure, he has significantly grown SEI’s revenue among alternative asset managers across private equity, private credit, real estate, and hedge, as well as traditional asset managers, including those in mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, collective investment trusts, and separately managed accounts.

In addition to Phil’s executive leadership role, he also serves as President and board member of the SEI Trust Company. Additionally, he is a board member for SEI’s Institutional Transfer Agency, Inc., SEI India, and SEI Cayman, and he is a member of SEI’s Executive, Operating and M&A Committees.

Phil holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from DeSales University.

Executive Vice President, General Counsel

Michael Peterson joined our company in June 2018 as General Counsel.

Prior to joining SEI, Mike served briefly as a partner in the Global Corporate Group at Reed Smith, where he advised public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing transactions, and obligations under and compliant with securities laws. Prior to Reed Smith, Mike spent more than 20 years at Morgan Lewis, leading the Corporate and Transactions Group in Philadelphia as a partner.

Mike received his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in European history from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a trustee of the Mills Foundation, a philanthropic foundation that supports children's health, education and conservation activities around the world.

Sneha Shah is an Executive Vice President at SEI and Head of New Business Ventures, responsible for new business and platform identification and incubation; engaging clients, accelerators and the entrepreneurial community to invest and accelerate new ideas and solutions; and cultivating innovation that drives top-line growth.

With more than 25 years of experience in business leadership, strategy, and execution globally, Sneha most recently served as Managing Director and Group Head of the London Stock Exchange Group’s (LSEG) Business Accelerator, where she created and scaled new businesses at the intersection of data, artificial intelligence, and technology. Prior to LSEG, her roles as Managing Director, Global Head of Risk Managed Services at Refinitiv and Managing Director in Africa for Thomson Reuters included leveraging emerging technologies, innovation, and strategic partnerships to drive profitable growth. She has also held senior leadership roles across finance and risk, operations, sales, and client service.

A global citizen with a passion for purpose-led initiatives, Sneha currently serves as a Board Trustee for the African Leadership Foundation, the Education Development Center, and the Harambeans Alliance. She is also Board Chair for the Young Presidents Organization’s New York Polaris Chapter. Sneha was selected for Innovate Finance’s “Women in Fintech Power List” and was a two-time winner of the Gender Mainstreaming award by Business Engage.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in politics with international studies from the University of Warwick in the U.K. and completed the Harvard Business School’s YPO Presidents’ Program.

Executive Vice President and Global Head of Private Banking & Wealth Management, SEI

Sanjay Sharma is an Executive Vice President and Global Head of Private Banking, responsible for overall strategy and business growth through the delivery of comprehensive technology, operational, and investment solutions for U.S. and U.K. wealth management organizations.

He previously served as Chief Technology Officer, responsible for all of SEI’s platforms and applications IT strategy, execution, and delivery. Sanjay led enterprise architecture, design, development, delivery, global implementations, cloud strategy and execution, DevSecOps, and production operations. He also served as global head of the SEI Wealth Platform℠ technology strategy, execution, and delivery.

Sanjay has worked in the global financial services industry for more than 25 years, spanning across four continents and 11 countries. Prior to joining SEI, Sanjay ran a successful consulting business and held several key global delivery positions, including head of delivery, Europe for a global ITFS consulting company; head of delivery for ITFS solutions, North America for a global top-10 IT consulting company; and head of implementation, ITFS solutions for a global top-10 IT consulting company.

Sanjay is currently a member of the Client Advisory Board for Digital for a global top-ten IT consulting firm, board member for Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technology, Advisory Board member for a large venture capital firm, Advisory Board member for SEI Ventures, a member of the Advisory Board for SEI Diversity, and founding board member of Racial Justice Institution.

Sanjay holds a master’s degree in engineering, specializing in systems engineering, from the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, India.
