SEI Hosts Inaugural Women's Network Leadership Summit

Event to Feature Speeches, Panels Aimed at Helping Women Achieve Success

OAKS, PA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/25/14 -- SEI (NASDAQ: SEIC) announced today that it will host the first SEI Women's Network Leadership Summit on Dec. 3, highlighted by an interview session with SEI Chairman and CEO Alfred P. West, Jr. and a keynote address by Jami Wintz McKeon, Partner and Chair of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Throughout the afternoon, SEI will host a panel discussion, breakout sessions, and presentations designed to help women grow personally and make an impact professionally. The forums, led by female professionals, will cover topics ranging from personal brand management to being creative and successful in the workplace. The event is the latest demonstration of SEI's ongoing leadership efforts on diversity and women in the workplace. More than 200 SEI employees and members of the Philadelphia business community have registered for the event, which begins at 1:30 p.m.

Jami Wintz McKeon, Partner and Chair of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address during the Summit. With more than 30 years of experience practicing law, McKeon was recently elected Chair of the firm -- the first female Chair in the firm's 141-year history. McKeon has spent her entire career with Morgan Lewis since graduating from law school at Villanova University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Penn State University.

The event begins with a panel discussion titled, "Defining Smart Risk Taking." Susan Ramonat, SEI's Director of Enterprise Risk Management, will lead the panel of three experts from SEI: Mark Samuels, Chief Marketing Officer; Kevin Barr, Executive Vice President of SEI; and Sandy Ewing, Senior Vice President of TRUST 3000.

The afternoon's sessions include:

  • "A Candid Conversation About Confidence" - Kimberly Strickland, Market Inclusion Leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers, explores the influence that gender has on confidence and success strategies for enhancing confidence.
  • "Creativity: The IT Skill in Financial Services?" This session, led by Bonnie Cruice, Social Media Marketing Manager at Vanguard, teaches attendees how to turn creativity into a valuable business skill.
  • "Owning and Speaking Your Truth" with Terry Whitaker, Philadelphia TV host and in-demand speaker for organizations looking to give women tools to achieve success. This session covers three major mistakes that smart, professional women make that keep them playing small.
  • "Personal Brand Management" - SEI's Lisa Penn, Managing Director, SEI Private Banking, and Susan Maggetti, Manager of Learning and Development, talk about personal branding and how it can enhance both careers and engagement levels.
  • "Bulletproofing Your Career" with Katherine Nelson, Management Professor at Temple University's Fox School of Business and former Vice President and Head of Global HR at Citicorp. This session discusses the concrete steps to protect careers from implosion.

The SEI Women's Network formed in 2007 to inspire and support the professional growth of women by providing educational forums, hosting, networking opportunities, and encouraging success. It is led by a board of 19 directors with 18 years of average work experience. Since its inception, the SEI Women's Network has hosted more than 30 programs with 3,000 participants including an annual golf outing, support of Breastcancer.org, and workshops on a variety of topics.
